In Memory of Piper

Piper

Friends, we have lost another beloved Roxy Dog. Piper was pure joy and she brought that joy with her everywhere she went. She was truly special and will be greatly missed. Here are some words from her owner/handler, Lisa Pasterchik:

Piper started her work with Roxy at Bridge Valley Elementary visiting both kindergarten class and a 6th grade class in the same day so she really knew how to adapt.

Throughout the years we visited various classes, events and the courthouse until she finally became the beloved “class dog” of Mr. Thompson’s Autistic Support Class at CB East for the past 4 years.

She soon became well known at East and she would go to support all the students and staff during finals and fundraisers hoping someone would give her an empty water bottle to carry around.

Piper was nearly 10 when she suddenly got sick but she had the personality of a puppy until the very end. She was the typical Golden Retriever…silly, energetic, playful, loyal and most of all filled with so much love that she wanted to share with everyone. She was so smart and so easily trained and all she wanted to do was make people happy.

She was a gift and will be forever loved and missed but I am so honored and grateful that I got to share her because she truly loved wearing her Roxy bandana.
