Horses . . .

HEAL . . . EMPOWER . . . TRANSFORM

Since 1982, Special Equestrians has been harnessing the healing power of horses to improve the physical, mental, and emotional well being of individuals with disabilities through the equine experience:

  • Riding horses improves strength, balance, posture and flexibility.

  • Working with horses helps improve focus, concentration, relationship skills, and social interaction.

  • Best of all, horses help everyone develop self-confidence, independence, and trust in themselves and others.

Special Equestrians is committed to serving anyone who can benefit from our services, regardless of their ability to pay.

Special Equestrians is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited center offering programs for children, adults, and seniors with a wide range of disabilties, often collaborating with local schools and organizations to provide group programs for at-risk youth, people with autism, women in recovery from addiction, and cancer support groups.

Special Equestrians is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve the physical, mental and emotional well being of individuals with disabilities through the equine experience. The official registration and financial information of Special Equestrians Inc. may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll free within Pennsylvania 1-800-732-0999.
