Our incredible Roxy dogs are never with us long enough, and this week we have lost Cheryl Zimmer-Luginbuhl’s Australian Labradoodle, Finnegan. Here is Cheryl talking about her sweet Finney. Our condolences, Cheryl, and know that we wrap you in Roxy’s arms at this time.

It breaks my heart to tell you all that Finnegan passed away yesterday. Finn, or Finney as the kids called him, was a proud Roxy Therapy Dog for 10+ years. He loved going to Linden Elementary to work with children with special needs and emotional needs. It seemed Finn always knew the right thing to do as he coaxed and comforted kids to learn and play with empathy and compassion.

He also visited the hospital where he provided healing vibes to patients, staff, and clergy and he was a Roxy Responder.

I’m grateful to have been his sidekick and to have so many good memories of our journey together. Finn was a wise old soul. He truly was my heart dog and words cannot express how much he will be missed.

Thank you, Roxy, for the love and for making it possible for Finn to fulfill his purpose.

Most of all, thanks to the kids who made Finn so happy.
