Fleck Honored by Congressman Fitzpatrick As Hometown Hero
Our own Sharon Fleck has been featured by Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick as a Hometown Hero this week! We know no one is more deserving. Thank you Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for shining a light on her incredible dedication to Roxy Therapy Dogs and the children of our area who can benefit from the comfort and support of a certified therapy dog like our Roxy dogs.

Meet this week's Hometown Heroes, Sharon Fleck, and the incredible team of volunteers at Roxy Therapy Dogs.
Established in 2005 by Diane Smith and now under Sharon's leadership, Roxy Therapy Dogs is making a difference in the lives of thousands of children every day across our community. With over seventy teams of dogs and six outstanding programs, RTD's mission is to provide a dependable support system and vital comfort to children in need.
Their flagship Elementary School Reading Inspiration program helps over 3,000 Central Bucks School District elementary students to become confident and passionate readers. Reading out loud, alongside the comfort of a therapy dog, allows young students to develop crucial skills and tools necessary to become confident life-long readers and public speakers. RTD also works with high school students to reduce anxiety and stress while educating them on the positive effects canines have on human well-being and year-long opportunities for children with special educational and developmental needs.
Beyond the classroom, RTD has partnered with Doylestown Hospital Pediatric Center and Pedia Manor Group Homes to bring support and smiles to pediatric patients. Additionally, through their Courthouse Companionship Program, RTD therapy teams stand by abused and neglected children as they navigate the courtroom and the Child and Youth Services system.
These invaluable services have positively impacted and bettered the lives of countless children in our community; please join me in applauding Sharon and the entire Roxy Therapy Dog team for their outstanding service and efforts.
