Roxy Therapy Dogs and their handlers have become cherished members of the Gayman school community. When these wonderful dogs visit, the students' faces light up with joy and excitement. For many students, the presence of the therapy dogs opens up new pathways to learning, helping them to engage more fully with their academics. Additionally, the therapy dogs play a crucial role in managing stress and anxiety, providing comfort and emotional support. The positive impact of Roxy Therapy Dogs is difficult to fully capture in words, but you can see their impact in the smiles and calmness they bring to our students, making our school a more nurturing and supportive environment for everyone.  Thank you, Roxy!!!

  • Bridge Valley Elementary has had the fortune to work with Roxy Therapy Dogs for many years. We’ve had teams visit our classes from kindergarten through sixth grade and our Autistic Support Classes. The comfort and joy brought to our school by Roxy has made a significant impact on our students. It is evident in the student’s smiles when they see the dogs in the hallway or get a chance to read to them in their classroom. We are very thankful to have them as part of our Bridge Valley community.

  • Our learning support students count down the days until our visits from Katie, Anya, and Ms. Phyllis! As struggling readers, our students often feel insecure about reading aloud. Reading to the Roxy Reading dogs helps build their confidence in this area, as Katie and Anya are nonjudgemental (and adorable!) listeners. It has been amazing to see even our most resistant readers get excited about reading.
