Portrait Unveiling of Judge Mellon
The Honorable Judge Robert Mellon with his official portrait.
The Honorable Robert Mellon recently retired, and his official portrait was unveiled in a special ceremony at the Bucks County Courthouse in June.
As the first Judge who requested therapy dogs for children in the Courthouse, his portrait proudly includes a stuffed “Roxy pup” on his desk.
Roxy™ Therapy Dogs gives out stuffies like these to children who are about to go before the judge in Dependency Court. These stuffies and our certified therapy dogs help calm children and allow them to feel comforted in the courtroom.
Several Roxy teams attended the ceremony to help celebrate: Steve and Tucker; Magie and Trixie; Mary and Brody; Sandy and Bentley; Maureen and Lucy; Mary Alice and Bliss; Andrea and Cru; Mary and Rocket and Linda (without Daisy).
Roxy Therapy Dogs appreciates Judge Mellon’s service and his vision for how therapy dogs can help children navigate the judicial system. He was a steadfast and devoted supporter of Roxy for many years.
Thank you, Judge Mellon.
