On this day in 2007, 18 years ago, several "firsts" occurred.
Cathy Flemming with Riptide and myself with Cookie made our very first visit as Roxy Reading volunteers. It was also the day that Roxy Reading expanded into a second school.
It was also the first time kids at Linden Elementary saw a dog in school.
When we were introduced, one little boy shouted, "You mean those dogs can read???"
How far we have come! Thank you to Principal Al Bernabei for helping us to expand our mission!!
