Roxy Visits Special Equestrians
Oso meets new friends.
For the last few summers, Roxy™ Therapy Dogs has been invited to visit the summer camp at Special Equestrians, a therapeutic riding program. And this August we were happy to be invited back.
A camper asks questions about Riley.
Located in Warrington, Pennsylvania, Special Equestrians provides a variety of equine-assisted services for individuals with physical, cognitive, behavioral, emotional, or traumatic stress disabilities.
Kids love Rocket’s soft fur.
Therapy dogs are a natural complement for Special Equestrians, and Roxy is happy to provide a group of our dogs who deliver comfort and support for these summer campers.
Herbie gives kisses.
On two mornings, our certified therapy dog teams visited with the campers, answered questions about the dogs, and watched the magic happen as campers gave the dogs pets and hugs. Everyone has a paw-some time.
Wilbur says, “Hi!”
As an aside, for some dogs, this is the first time they have an opportunity to meet a horse up close. It’s an eye-opening experience!
Everyone wants to pet Bliss.
Wilbur may be small, but he’s got lots of love to share.
