Anniversary Accolades: Gayman ES II
“Roxy Reading is a great program where therapy dogs come to classrooms, nursing homes, and hospitals. They mainly go to schools and the children read books to the dogs. This helps these kids because dogs don’t judge how fast or slow you read, or if you get a word wrong, which means you can feel more comfortable reading. The dogs also love to be with the kids that they are with. Whenever they walk into a room, their tail is always wagging, and they look super happy. Also, the handlers are always smiling and greet you warmly.
One student reports, ‘Whenever I see we have Roxy Reading, it gives me something to look forward to during the day. The dogs are so loveable, and the handlers are very nice!’ Overall, these dogs are adorable and accepting animals, and I would encourage anyone who hasn’t had an experience to be with one, to try to get signed up to have this amazing experience!
